What is Ozone?

Ozone, or trioxygen, is an inorganic molecule with the chemical formula O3. It is a pale blue gas with a distinctively pungent smell. It is an allotrope of oxygen that is much less stable than the diatomic allotrope O2, breaking down in the lower atmosphere to O2 (dioxygen). Ozone is formed from dioxygen by the action of ultraviolet (UV) light and electrical discharges within the Earth’s atmosphere. It is present in very low concentrations throughout the latter, with its highest concentration high in the ozone layer of the stratosphere, which absorbs most of the Sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

A METHOD TO GENERATE OXYGEN

The first step in generating ozone is creating concentrated oxygen to feed the ozone generator. On average over 90% of all ozone equipment problems are due to poor quality air or oxygen. The most common commercial method for producing oxygen is the separation of air using either a cryogenic distillation process, vacuum swing adsorption process, or an electrolysis method. This method is used in space stations.

USES OF OZONE

Ozone is used as an oxidizing agent in air and water disinfection: for bleaching textiles, oils, and waxes; organic synthesis as in processing certain perfumes, vanillin, camphor; for mold and bacteria control in coldstorage.

Just add tap water.

The Nano-Aqueous Ozone and Nano-Bubble Generator turns it into an extremely effective cleaning and sanitizing solution.

What’s Going On Inside

Ozone\O3 laden air is dissolved into water. Ozone regularly decomposes back into diatomic oxygen O2. The released O3 is very reactive and either kills or deactivates all microbes in the vicinity. We can use a bubble generator to generate tiny bubbles that will act as a constant supply of fresh ozone and oxygen ions into the water. The use of ozone as a cleaner and sanitizer eliminates the need for fragrances or additives to mask odors. The ozone deactivates odor-generating compounds in the atmosphere immediately.

Safe and Sanitary

Aqueous ozone is completely safe for all areas of human contact and dispensing the solution is hands-free. It cleans and sanitizes all non-water soluble surfaces and can be used to clean carpeting and used in carpet extraction devices, also known as carpet cleaners or steam cleaners.

From the EPA:

The US Federal Environmental Protection Agency states:

  • Ozone is more effective than chlorine in destroying viruses and bacteria.
  • The ozonation process utilizes a short contact time (approximately 10 to 30 minutes).
  • There are no harmful residuals that need to be removed after ozonation because ozone decomposes rapidly.
  •  After ozonation, there is no re-growth of microorganisms, except for those protected by the particulates in the wastewater.
  • Ozone is generated on site, and thus, there are fewer safety problems associated with shipping and handling.
  • Ozonation elevates the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration of the effluent. The increase in DO can eliminate the need for re-aeration and also raise the level of DO in the receiving stream.

OUR OZONE GENERATOR

This Nano-Aqueous Ozone and Nano-Bubble Generator prototype uses a technology that infuses cold water with ozone gas to create aqueous ozone, a natural and robust cleaning solution.Ozone-laden air is dissolved into water and it regularly decomposes back into diatomic oxygen O2. The released mono-atomic ion is very reactive and either kills or reactivates all microbes in the vicinity. The product eliminates the need for using harsh and often very expensive chemicals

Definition of

NANO BUBBLES and NANO BUBBLE GENERATOR

We utilize a bubble generator to generate tiny bubbles that act as a constant supply of fresh ozone and oxygen ions into the water.

Nano bubbles are one of the smallest known bubble sizes, roughly 2500 times smaller than a single grain of salt, or less than 200 nanometers (nm) in diameter. Nano bubbles are neutrally buoyant and can remain suspended in liquid (most commonly water) for weeks without rising to the surface and off-gassing.
